Tucson Music Melee 2008

The Basics
Fox 11 an FOX11AZ.com in cooperation with KXCI Community Radio are asking any and all local musicians to send us a music video of an original song. We will put the song on FOX11AZ.com and ask the community to vote for their favorites (online voting details). The top 5 video entries will be asked to participate in a live performance at the historic Rialto Theatre on July 11. The performances will be recorded and placed online again for a final round of voting. A winner will be chosen and given a prize package that includes a professionally produced concept video, studio time, and gift certificates to a music store. (winner selection details). What We Need
A necessary venue change allows us to extend entry deadline to: 5:30pm May 30
Entry video should be: VHS, Beta, mini DV, or on a non-copy protected DVD.

The Benefits
Details are still being worked out on some of the prize packages, but following are some details from last year's event; though we expect this one to be bigger and better.
-The initial exposure to the Melee voting audience
-Additional audience exposure at the Rialto live show
-A five camera shoot of the concert from a professional production crew
-A double DVD of the concert
-TV exposure, the last melee program was seen by nearly 73,000 Tucsonans

-This year's winning band will also receive a professionally produced concept video, studio time, and gift certificates to a local music store.
