Tucson Music Melee 2008

First Round
The first round of voting will last approximately one month. The field of entries will be divided into smaller groups from which the live performance finalists will be selected. The number of total entries received will affect the number of smaller groups, the number of entries in each group, and the voting period for each group. If the number of entries is great enough, a successive voting tree may be utilized.

Grouping entries for the smaller voting lists will be at the sole discretion of KMSB-TV and the Music Melee crew.

Winner Selection
Following the Music Melee concert and Television performance, there will be a final round of voting in which one concert performance from each of the finalists will compete head-to-head. The top three vote getters will be awarded points based on which place they finish. The finalists will also be judged by the Music Melee crew and likewise awarded points based on the consensus of the three best performances. A third judging body composed of music professionals will similarly choose the three best performances and award them points. The entrant with the highest cumulative point total will be declared the winner. The three different judging elements will each contribute 1/3 of the total points.
