WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama says he is still hoping for bipartisan support in using financial bailout money to help small businesses and bring down double-digit unemployment.

Emerging from a White House meeting Wednesday with a group of Republican and Democratic congressional leaders, Obama repeated his proposals, which also embrace more infrastructure spending and incentives to Americans for making their homes more energy efficient.

At the same time, the president said he was committed to working with members of Congress from both parties to bring down the nation's ballooning debt.
