''MEN OF A CERTAIN AGE" - RAY ROMANO

Romano says "that doesn't mean there isn't a void there after, especially for a comedian." He says "you're only as funny as your next joke coming up or the next thing you do." That's why there is a "next thing" for Romano. He and another writer have created a dramedy called "Men of a Certain Age." Romano, Andre Braugher (BROW'-er) and Scott Bakula play three middle-aged guys trying to get through life. It premieres Monday on TNT.

This revival of "Bye Bye Birdie" opened Oct. 15.
''OLEANNA" TO CLOSE EARLY
NEW YORK (AP) — Not good news on the job-front for Julia Stiles and Bill Pullman. Their Broadway show is closing early. "Oleanna's" final performance is this Sunday instead of Jan. 3. The play opened in New York on Oct. 11 after a successful summer run in Los Angeles. But, the production has done a poor business since its New York opening. And the usually lucrative Thanksgiving week was a turkey. The play grossed less than $130,000. "Oleanna" is about a power struggle between a university professor, played by Pullman, and a female student, played by Stiles.
