Bad news for Arizonans about health care coverage. More than 124,000 people statewide lost their insurance in 2009 because they lost their jobs. A new survey by Families USA finds unemployment in Arizona jumped from 5.5 percent in 2008 to an average of 8.1% in 2009. The researchers report more than 60% of Americans receive their health coverage through their job or that of a family member and other options, such as Cobra, are usually too expensive.
