PHOENIX (AP) — Firefighters say a blaze that sent up billowing smoke visible across the Phoenix area was burning at a mattress factory.
Fire Capt. Scott Walker says the fire broke out at about 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the west Phoenix factory.
Walker says about 40 firefighters are trying to protect surrounding buildings and expect to have the fire under control by 7 p.m.
There were no reports of injuries.
