Woman fatally stabbed in South Tucson

SOUTH TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — South Tucson police are investigating a fatal stabbing. The victim is a woman who was out walking with a second woman when she was attacked Thursday night.

Officers for the City of South Tucson were called to Antonio's Bar on 4th Avenue and 33rd Street.

Investigators said the woman walked into the bar with stab wounds.

Detectives say she and another woman were walking home along 4th Avenue and 33rd Street when two men approached them in a vehicle.

The women walked away, but police say the men followed them.

Police say one of the men got out of the vehicle and stabbed the victim.

The victim was taken to an area hospital where she later died from her injuries. There's no word on a motive for the attack and no names have been released.
