TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — A lengthy court battle over billboards around Tucson is about to come to an end.
Clear Channel Outdoor Inc. and the city have agreed to a deal to take down 110 billboards around Tucson.
It's now up to Pima County Superior Court Judge Carmine Cornelio to approve the settlement at a Nov. 16 hearing.
The agreement ends nearly 25 years of court fights between Tucson and Clear Channel over billboards, which the city says violate its sign code.
The settlement calls for modification of more than 20 of Clear Channel's billboards to meet city code.
Clear Channel Outdoor representatives did not return calls for comment.
