TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities say a Sells woman has been arrested in connection with a fatal rollover southwest of Tucson last year.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety says 28-year-old Michelle Yolanda Juan was booked Thursday into the Pima County jail on suspicion of first-degree murder, suspicion of aggravated DUI and suspicion of felony criminal damage.
DPS officials say Juan was driving on Arizona 286 about 10 miles south of Three Points on Oct. 14 when she lost control of her vehicle. The car rolled and her passenger — 23-year-old Lauren Cachora of Tucson — was pronounced dead at the scene.
DPS officers say Juan displayed symptoms of impairment after the crash and alcohol was found at the scene.
