PHOENIX (AP) — Arizona has reopened another highway rest area.
The Department of Transportation reopened the Meteor Crater rest area along Interstate 40. It was among the rest areas that were closed last fall due to budget cuts.
The state reopened three rest areas on I-10 and I-19 on Monday and plans to reopen another one on I-10 this week. That would bring the total number of reopened rest areas to 10.
Four more are expected to reopened later this year but four others will remain closed because they require repairs.
