The El Tour de Tucson is coming up this Saturday and this year more than ever, organizers are focusing on race safety.
The race will have a new start and finish line at Church Street and Congress Avenue downtown. The route is also changing in a few areas. One to avoid construction on Oracle, another to try out the frontage road on the west side instead of Silverbell Road. More police officers will also be at the intersection of Westward Look Drive and Ina Road where last year a driver hit a group of cyclists.
