Oro Valley lighted sign enforcement

In Oro Valley businesses must turn off their lighted signs one hour after closing. And for the first time since the ordinance was passed in 2004 authorities are enforcing it.  Astronomers and some residents are behind the law, saying they need to protect a "dark" night sky. But business owners saying the loss of night time advertising dollars is hurting them. And now they're upset the town is targeting them in enforcing the law. Fines can reach $1,000 a day.
