MESA, Ariz. -- Police have released surveillance video of a pair of teens who vandalized a senior community center in Mesa Sunday, causing tens of thousands of dollars in damage.

According the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, the teens broke into the Dreamland Villa Senior Community Center near University Drive and Higley Road very early Sunday morning.

The teenagers apparently thought they had disconnected the security cameras, but they were mistaken.

Sheriff's investigators said the pair, believed to be between 15 and 17 years old, spent about three hours inside the community center. The two pried open the locks on every door and cabinet, broke windows, smashed electronic equipment, and generally trashed the place.

The vandals and would-be thieves were wearing baggy clothing and baseball caps.

A neighbor called 911 at about 4 a.m. When deputies arrived on the scene, the teens took off, but they left empty handed.

Damage is estimated at about $30,000.

This is not the first time the center has been targeted. Not long ago, somebody put glue in the locks on most of the doors.

The community center is offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to the teens' arrests.

Anybody with information about what happened at Dreamland Villa is asked to call the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.
