According to the Northwest Fire District, a Tucson toddler died Wednesday after he was reportedly run over by a vehicle.

An 18-month-old boy was flown to University Medical Center from Marana after suffering severe injuries. It happened just after 5 O'clock Wednesday evening.

When firefighters arrived they say the little boy was in traumatic cardiac arrest with critical injuries. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Crews say the boys parents brought him to the Marana Health Center for medical attention and the staff immediately called 911.

First responders were on the scene within two minutes, but it was too late to save him.
