Health Department opening measles shot clinic

Due to the recent outbreak of measles in Pima County, the Health Department is opening a sustained measles shot clinic on Wednesday, May 7. The clinic will be located at 600 South Alvernon Way, and will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Since the first measles case was diagnosed in the county in February, 17 confirmed cases have been confirmed, while 87 suspect cases have been identified. 35 of those suspect cases have been closed, leaving the number of suspect cases still under investigation at 52.
The sustained clinic is expected to remain open until the end of May. More information is available at www.pimahealth.org.
