Tucson man gets 26 years on drug charge

A Tucson drug supplier has been sentenced to 26 years in federal prison on a charge of conspiracy to distribute and to possess with intent to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine.
30-year old Alex Hetherington admitted at his plea hearing in January that in February of 2007 he conspired with others to deliver 212 kilograms of cocaine, valued at approximately $4 million. After his arrest, Hetherington admitted that he had been involved in other large drug deliveries to seven states.
