LAS CRCUES, N.M. (AP) — A 26-year-old Dona Ana County woman is facing felony child abuse charges after her infant daughter tested positive for cocaine. Court documents say Yvonne Sanchez's three children were found in a "filthy and dangerous" home where dirty diapers were on the floor and trash and dirty clothes were scattered about. Drug paraphernalia also was found in the home.

LOS LUNAS, N.M. (AP) — A Los Lunas police officer is in trouble with the law after she crashed her personal car early Thanksgiving Day. State police say Nikki Baca was off duty when she ran off the road and hit a fence. Police said her breath alcohol level was 0.12 percent. The legal limit for presumed intoxication is 0.08 percent. Baca is facing a DWI charge and has been suspended for a week without pay.

DENVER (AP) — Farmers in New Mexico, Colorado and Wyoming have bought newspaper ads thanking U.S. Interior Secretary Ken Salazar for what they say is his cautious approach with oil shale development. Salazar is opting for smaller-scale oil-shale leases that he says are environmentally sensitive.

NEW YORK (AP) — An early print of Ansel Adams' iconic photograph, "Moonrise, Hernandez, New Mexico," will be auctioned in New York City on Dec. 8. It's estimated at $350,000 to $450,000. The print is signed and inscribed to Valentino Sarra, a friend of Adams' and a W.P.A. poster designer. It was made in 1948 in a range of subtle grays.
