ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Several people were arrested for not obeying Albuquerque authorities who were trying to break up a large crowd that gathered outside the funeral of a gang member. It happened Friday night as rival gangs squared off at the the Gabaldon Mortuary. At one point police used pepper rounds.

EUNICE, N.M. (AP) — Hundreds of construction jobs at Louisiana Energy Services' uranium enrichment facility in southeastern New Mexico will be phased out by the end of the year. The reduction has long been expected as the $3 billion National Enrichment Facility moves from construction to operation.

DEXTER, N.M. (AP) — A national fish hatchery in southeastern New Mexico will be making some much needed repairs and improvements thanks to federal stimulus funds. The Dexter National Fish Hatchery and Technology Center received $320,000.

SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) — Officials with the New Mexico Rail Runner say nearly 850 people took advantage of the first-ever train service between Albuquerque and Santa Fe on the day after Thanksgiving. That more than doubled the Black Friday ridership for the previous two years on Rail Runner Express trains.
