LOS ANGELES (AP) — Google and Yahoo have 10 days to turn over records that authorities hope will help them in their case against a man accused of secretly recording video of ESPN reporter Erin Andrews.
Authorities served search warrants at the Northern California offices of the two tech giants. Among the items they're looking for is a 42-second video of a naked woman that was posted on Yahoo's Flickr.
They suspect the video was taken by Michael Barrett, who's been charged with one count of interstate stalking in connection with the release of the naked videos of Andrews. Prosecutors say Barrett altered peepholes on doors of hotel rooms in which Andrews was staying, and shot the video through them.
Prosecutors say the Flickr video, which appeared to be taken through a hotel room peephole, is of a woman other than Andrews. Authorities believe the Flickr account belongs to Barrett.
