NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (AP) — Police have arrested three people and are hunting two more after gunmen invaded a home in a gated Orange County community.
Newport Beach police Lt. Craig Fox says four gunmen went to a home at around 10:15 p.m. Tuesday.
Nine people were at the home, and Fox says the robbers struck three of them in the head and took cash and jewelry. One victim was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Fox says a SWAT team sealed off the community and evacuated several homes.
One man with a broken ankle was captured in a nearby yard. Two more were arrested in vehicles.
