FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) — Members of the Coconino County Sheriff's Office, state Game and Fish and the Department of Public Safety will be attempting to reach stranded hunters in Arizona's back country. The hunters were caught in Monday's powerful storm that dumped 2 to 3 feet of snow on northern Arizona. Authorities say 25 to 30 hunters may be stranded. Some of the stranded include children.

PHOENIX (AP) — The FBI wants the public's help in identifying two people who have robbed six banks and credit unions across northern Arizona since early September. The "High Country Bandits" pulled stickups at banks and credit unions in Flagstaff, Heber, Prescott Valley, Payson, Gold Canyon and Pinetop.

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — California has too many Chihuahuas. Shelters are overflowing with the tiny dogs. An animal shelter in Oakland is shipping some of its Chihuahuas to a shelter in Tucson. Experts say Chihuahuas can be a handful and may not be an easy dog for a family with children because of their dog's temperament.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Scottsdale fire investigators blame a space heater for starting a house fire that killed a cat. The Tuesday morning fire caused $100,000 in damage. Scottsdale fire officials say the cat was the only resident of the home. Someone left the space heater on to keep the cat warm. However, the heater was left near combustible materials that ignited.
