British tabloids Saturday published new photos of British soldiers
abusing Iraqi prisoners, detained in the Basra area.
The pictures showed British troops kicking and beating Iraqis, who were
tied up, and forced to wear hoods over their heads.
One picture in the London Daily Mirror showed a British soldier
urinating on an Iraqi detainee.
According to the Mirror, the captive also was beaten before being thrown
from a moving truck.
The photos in the British tabloids come just days after Arabic networks
broadcast video of Iraqi prisoners at a U.S.-run prison, many of them
naked, in humiliating positions, some with smiling American military
police posing beside them.
Those inmates are held at Abu Ghraib prison.
President Bush Friday said he was disgusted by the photographs of U.S.
soldiers and the prisoners at Abu Ghraib.
The photos have led to charges against six U.S. soldiers.
