Bush to visit Arizona

04:09 PM MST on Monday, March 22, 2004

Associated Press Report

President Bush is expected to discuss homeownership during a trip to Phoenix this Friday.

White House spokesman Taylor Gross says Bush will first speak about home ownership in Albuquerque. He'll travel to Arizona later that day.

In 2002, Bush unveiled his "Blueprint for the American Dream."

The initiative aims to close the ownership gap between minorities and whites. President Bush has set a goal of seeing at least 55 percent of minorities own their own home.

Additional details about the trip haven't been released.

The visit will mark Bush's fourth to Arizona in the past year -- the second since January.
