Pima County Sheriff's Department says they were searching for Ricardo Torres.

Sheriff's Deputy Dawn Hanke says Torres left with siblings this morning from their home near Cardinal Avenue and Irvington Road to visit his mother at work near Orange Grove and La Cholla Blvd. on the northwest side. He was dropped off there, but his mother was not there.

Hanke says Torres was last spotted at about 2 p.m. at the Ronstadt Bus Center in downtown Tucson. The family reported him missing just before 5 p.m. Tuesday.

According to official reports, the boy called law enforcement sometime in the evening. Deputies kept himo on the phone until they learned his location, which has not yet been revealed. He was reportedly not far from his home near Cardinal and Irvington Road.

An officer went to pick Ricardo up and he was reunited with his family shortly after 9 p.m.
