During secondary inspection, the canine unit alerted to the trunk of the car, prompting agents to perform a more thorough search. According to a news release, agents discovered five bricks of methamphetamines and 7 bricks of marijuana where the spare tire should be.

The marijuana’s street value, which weighed a little over 5 pounds, is estimated at more than $5,600. The methamphetamine’s street value was determined to be over $56,000.

The drugs, vehicle and its two occupants were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
