More than 25 events are planned in Southern Arizona to celebrate October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The various festivities and get-togethers are a way of educating the community about breast health in collaboration with the Southern Arizona affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

The following is a list of events scheduled to take place throughout the month of October:

5^th ANNUAL GET TIED TO THE CURE®

The Komen Southern Arizona Affiliate’s 5^th Annual Get Tied to the Cure® will be held at Safeway.  Come enjoy the excitement, receive free breast health education materials, free t-shirts and lots more!  In addition to tying EVERY car with a pink ribbon, women who qualify through the WellWoman Healthcheck Program will receive a free mammogram.  Must schedule in advance.
