The world’s greatest traveling live insect exhibit will be at one of Tucson’s public library locations.
Tony’s Creepy Crawly Zoo will be on display at the Wilmot branch Tucson Public Library at 11 a.m. on October 6.
The exhibit includes harmless insects such as the hissing cockroach, giant African millipedes, desert beetles, walking sticks and Praying Mantis, all of which audience members are welcome to hold.
Also on hand will be not-so-harmless creatures such as African assassin bugs dubbed “the world’s deadliest insect,” several tarantulas, scorpions, black widows, wolf spiders and giant centipedes.
Almost a million people nationwide have witnessed Tony’s Creepy Crawly Zoo. According to a media release, it has been traveling the United States for the past 12 years.
