Community members are invited to attend the annual tree-lighting ceremony at a Tucson resort.

Loews Ventana Canyon Resort invites residents to the Cascade Lounge for the lighting of a 26-foot majestic tree.

According to a media release, guests at the event will listen to traditional carols performed by Katy and Dough Martin and receive complimentary refreshments including roasted chestnuts and spiced apple cider.

Santa Claus is also expected to make an appearance and pose for photos. Also on hand will be Mrs. Arizona 2007 Tracy Elliott, who is expected to be the Mistress of Ceremonies. Also in attendance will be a child from the local non-profit organization New Beginnings for Women and Children who will light the tree for the first time.

The tree-lighting ceremony will take place on Tuesday, November 27 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the resort located at 7000 N. Resort Drive. Admission is free.
