By Jim Edwards, Fox 11 News

Three more measles cases have been confirmed in Pima County, bringing the total number of known cases to 20. The three latest cases are in infants ranging in age from 9 months to 16 months.

54 suspect cases remain under investigation by the Health Department and the Centers for Disease Control. There have been no confirmed cases so far involving any students at area schools.

Wednesday, May 7, was the first day that the new sustained measles shot clinic was open. Health Department officials say 1,100 people came to get shots during the 10 hours that the clinic was open.

The clinic will operate from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday through the end of May. It’s located at 600 South Alvernon Way. More information is available at www.pimahealth.org.
