Habitat for Humanity seeks women volunteers
08:44 PM MST on Monday, May 12, 2008
More than 100 women came out to help raise the walls of Habitat for Humanity’s Annual Women Build home on Saturday, May 10. “I was overwhelmed by all of the generous women who gave up time they would spend with their families to help build a home for mine,” said Desiree Sagasta, the future owner of the home.
Work will continue at the site every Friday and Saturday, and women are needed to help frame, roof, hang drywall, install windows and doors, prep stucco, paint and landscape. The house is expected to be completed by December. You can volunteer to help by visiting www.habitattucson.org.
