The Post Office has announced that a new Tucson zip code will be added as of July 1^st. The new 85756 zip code area will be located south of Valencia Road and east of South Nogales Highway.

The change is being made as the result of the overall growth in mail deliveries as the population in the area southeast of Tucson has increased. All postal customers in the new zip code area will be notified of the change by mail.

Affected customers should notify family, friends, business customers and business associates of the change. However magazine publishers, financial institutions, insurance companies and utilities typically use computerized mailing lists that update zip codes on a regular basis, so it shouldn’t be necessary to inform them of your new zip code.
