Woman's body found by two teens

The body of a woman found in a drainage culvert by two teenage boys has tentatively been identified as that of a 57-year old Tucson woman. Tucson Police detectives believe the victim was murdered at the scene shortly before the body was discovered at 10:45 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16.
The two teenagers found the body while they were looking for a place to skateboard, near the overpass at Alvernon Way and South Palo Verde Road. Police say the victim showed signs of suffering obvious physical trauma.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
