An elderly man was killed in a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of Valencia and Mission Roads on Wednesday, July 23. Officials say the victim, who was in his seventies, was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene.

The collision took place at around 8:30 a.m. and involved a total of 5 vehicles. Three of the vehicles were heavily damaged. In addition to the fatality, a man in his fifties was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries, and two other patients were taken by ground transportation to area hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
