Fox 11 News

The new fall and winter schedule for the Boyce Thompson Arboretum State Park went into effect on Labor Day, with the facility being open to the public every day except Christmas from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. The Arboretum is Arizona’s oldest and largest botanical garden, encompassing 323 acres. There are 3,200 different desert plants within the Arboretum, and over the years more than 230 bird species have been documented.

Special events coming up in the month of September include the Dragonfly Walk on Saturday, September 6, and two Learn Your Lizards Guided Tours on September 7 and September 13.

The Arboretum is located on U.S. Highway 60, three miles west of Superior. More information is available by clicking here.
