During the month of September, the town of Oro Valley is working with the Ladies Auxiliary to Veterans of Foreign Wars to collect donated items to send to U.S. troops overseas. The donated items will be sent to a military hospital in Germany that receives wounded soldiers.

Items that are needed include wheelchairs in good condition, video games, disposable razors and shaving cream, toothbrushes, travel pillows, winter jackets, board games, black backpacks, magazine subscriptions, DVDs, MP3 player headphones, and phone cards.

Donations can be brought to collection boxes located at Oro Valley Town Hall and at the Oro Valley Public Library through September 22.
