Three mesquite bean milling events scheduled

Tucson-area residents will have three opportunities to take part in mesquite bean milling events, sponsored by Desert Harvesters and the Community Food Bank.
The first chance will come at the Marana Heritage Festival and Milling on Saturday, October 25, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Marana Heritage River Park on Tangerine Farms Road at Heritage Park Drive.
On Saturday, November 8, the Desert Harvesters Mesquite Milling Fiesta and Pancake Breakfast will be held from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Dunbar/Spring Community Garden on the northwest corner of University and 11th Avenue.
The Santa Cruz River Farmers’ Market Milling will take place on Thursday, November 20, from 3 to 6 p.m. on the northeast corner of Speedway and Riverview.
