Investigators say Lynn was driving westbound on Escalante Road on May 22 when her vehicle was struck by a car driven by Ruiz as she tried to make a left turn onto South Queen Palm Drive. Police say Ruiz was speeding at the time of the crash, and toxicology results show that Ruiz had marijuana in his system at the time of the collision.
