Trio accused of being part of Sierra Vista fraud ring

The number of Sierra Vista Lowe’s Home Improvement Store employees arrested on fraud charges is up to four. 29-year old Lisa Leon and 36-year old Jerry Wingate were taken into custody on September 26, and charged with fraudulent schemes and felony theft. Leon was also charged with possession of narcotics, possession of paraphernalia, and misconduct with weapons.

On September 30, 52-year old Pierre Goins was arrested and charged with fraudulent schemes and felony theft. The first arrest in the case was made on August 28, when 36-year old Jimmy Holmgren was taken into custody.

The investigation by Sierra Vista Police is ongoing, and more arrests are possible. Investigators say the scheme involved thousands of dollars worth of unpaid merchandise and appliances that left the store. So far, police have recovered more than $13,000 in stolen merchandise from eight different locations in Sierra Vista.
