Northwest Fire Chief is staying
08:56 PM MST on Sunday, October 12, 2008
Northwest Fire Chief Jeff Piechura has decided to stay on as Chief of the Northwest Fire District. Last week, Piechura announced that he would be leaving the Tucson area to take the job of Fire Chief in Chula Vista, California. However after further consideration, Piechura decided that moving to Chula Vista would not be in the best interest of his family.
Chief Piechura has been with the Northwest Fire District since the district was created in 1984. He was named chief there in 1988.
