Man charged with multiple felonies in stabbing case

A 39-year old man faces 14 felony counts for allegedly breaking into his estranged wife’s Sierra Vista apartment and repeatedly stabbing her on Thursday, October 16. Ronald Jones is charged with one count of attempted murder, ten counts of domestic violence/aggravated assault, one count of residential burglary with a deadly weapon, possession of burglary tools, and prohibited possessor.
Police say Jones broke into the apartment in the 500 block of South Coronado and stabbed Alexis Jones, causing injuries to her neck, hand, arms and upper torso. She was taken to UMC for treatment and is expected to make a full recovery.
