Woman, man arrested for armed robbery

Two people are under arrest and face multiple charges in connection with a residential armed robbery on Thursday, October 30. 27-year old Nicole Leon and 32-year old Toby Putman were taken into custody following a police chase.

Leon is charged with domestic violence/aggravated assault, domestic violence/kidnapping, armed robbery, auto theft and fleeing from law enforcement. Putman faces charges of aggravated assault, kidnapping, armed robbery and prohibited possessor of a firearm.
The robbery took place at approximately 8 a.m. at a home in the 10,300 block of West Massingale Road. The vehicle pursuit ended near the entrance to the Red Roof Inn at the I-10/Ina Road interchange. Sheriff’s investigators learned that Leon had resided with the robbery victim until recently.
