The annual Chili Cook-Off at Encore Senior Village at Tucson will be held on Friday, November 14. The event will begin at 10:30 a.m., with judging scheduled for 12 noon.

The cook-off is held each November to raise awareness for National Alzheimer’s Awareness Month. Encore Senior Village at Tucson is a specialized memory care community that strives to recognize the abilities each resident has and highlight their success.

Teams of residents and caregiving staff will take part in the cook-off, with residents being encouraged to use the skills that they have to recreate familiar activities from their past.
