08:00 PM MST on Tuesday, November 18, 2008
The last two open houses regarding the Coronado National Forest’s proposed Land and Resource Management Plan will be held on November 20 and 22. The public is invited to review and comment on the draft Desired Conditions the forest hopes to achieve over time, and the proposed Land Use Zones.
The November 20 open house will be held at the Sheraton Tucson Hotel at 5151 East Grant Road from 4 to 7 p.m. and will focus on the specific area of the Santa Catalina Mountains. The November 22 event will take place at Cochise College, 1025 South Highway 90 in Benson from 9 a.m. to noon, and will be Forest-wide in scope.
The meetings will include a short presentation describing the steps completed in the process so far, and the review and comment process for those attending the meeting. The presentation will be repeated once each hour to allow citizens to attend at a time most convenient for them.
