Sheriff's Department now offering on-line reporting
08:51 PM MST on Wednesday, November 19, 2008
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is now offering citizens the option to file reports of some minor incidents of crime on-line. Reports will be accepted on-line with some restrictions for such incidents as lost property, harassing phone calls, thefts/larceny, vandalism, and hit & run.
In order to qualify for on-line reporting, the incidents must have no suspect information and a value of under $5,000. If citizens have suspect information or the case involves any type of threats, they are asked to call 911.
The on-line reporting option will give citizens an additional reporting choice allowing them to report incidents at their convenience, and is also expected to reduce the time deputies spend taking minor incident reports. You can access the on-line reporting link by clicking here.
