Concert to benefit kids with speech disorders

The 90-member Catalinas Community Chorus and its ensemble groups will give a holiday concert to benefit the Tucson Child Language Center on Saturday, December 13, at 2 p.m. at the Scottish Rite Cathedral, located at 160 South Scott Avenue downtown. Under the direction of Cyndee Chaffee, the chorus will be performing the Joseph Martin musical, “A World Of Christmas” as well as favorite holiday songs including “Little Drummer Boy,” “Carol of the Bells,” and Various Themes on “Fa-La-La.”
The concert will benefit the Child Language Center’s Wings on Words program, which provides services to preschool children with speech and language disorders. The concert is free, with monetary donations graciously accepted. Seating is limited, and reserved tickets can be obtained by calling 520-622-8364 or 520-628-1659, or by emailing bobmeise@earthlink.net.
