Marijuana seized during traffic stop

A Department of Public Safety Officer seized 230 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop on I-10 on Wednesday, November 19. The officer stopped the two vehicles, a Ford Explorer and a Chevrolet pickup, shortly before 10 a.m. for a traffic and equipment violation. When he approached the Explorer, he saw bundles of marijuana in the back of the vehicle and in the front passenger seat.

The two drivers and one passenger were arrested and booked into the Pima County Jail. They are 21-year old Fausto Guzman of Douglas, 18-year old Jorge Abril of Elfrida, and 18-year old Jose Valencia of Douglas.
