A 52-year old man died when his vehicle was rear-ended by another car on Houghton Road near Rita Ranch Road on Saturday, November 22.

The victim, who was identified as Dan Ungar, had just pulled out of a private drive onto Houghton at about 9:45 p.m. when he was hit by a car driven by a 36-year old man. The second man was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators believe speed was a factor in the crash, and are investigating possible impairment pending results of a toxicology report.
