A middle school student from the Sunnyside School District is one of 15 national finalists in the 2009 Bubble Wrap Competition for Young Inventors. Jose Lopez from Challenger Middle School has won $500 for making the finals, and is now competing for a $10,000 savings bond and a trip to New York City.
The contest challenges students to “invent something novel with Bubble Wrap brand cushioning.” A video of Jose and his “Warm House” for birds project can be seen by clicking here.
