CHANDLER, Ariz. (AP) -- Five students from Basha and Chandler high schools have been arrested after undercover police bought drugs off-campus from the students.
The five include two former baseball players and one former lacrosse player. They were arrested at their schools on Feb. 16, according to police reports obtained Wednesday.
In a separate case, police responding to a fight on Feb. 28 at Chandler's Willis Junior High School arrested four students on suspicion of possessing and selling marijuana.
A tip prompted police to begin the undercover operation on Jan. 12.
