Protesters gather outside Kyl's office
03:16 PM MST on Monday, May 21, 2007
Protesters have swarmed the office of Arizona Sen. Jon Kyl this morning.
The Republican sponsored the immigration bill that has created quite a bit of controversy here in the Valley.
Several groups, including Mothers Against Illegal Aliens and Mohave Minutemen, are protesting outside Kyl's office at 22nd Street and Camelback Road, and they're planning to stay out there all day.
The bill that spawned the protest would offer legal status to most of the country's 12 million undocumented immigrants. It would also tighten border security.
